Fishing isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a lifelong passion. Growing up in rural Massachusetts, my fondest memories are exploring hidden fishing spots with my dad. We’d venture deep into the woods, uncovering secluded ponds teeming with bass, pickerel, and trout. He instilled in me a deep appreciation for nature and the thrill of the catch—a gift I cherish.
Life brought me to Cape Cod in 1998, where I transitioned to saltwater fishing with my own sons. Years of exploring these waters fueled my desire to share the experience with others. After retiring, I earned my Captain’s license, finally able to turn those dockside inquiries into unforgettable fishing trips.
There’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing someone land their first striped bass. And honestly, watching kids discover the magic of fishing? That’s a whole other level of rewarding. Seeing their eyes light up when they feel that first tug on the line, the sheer excitement as they reel in their catch – it’s pure gold. I love teaching them the basics, watching them learn to cast, and seeing their confidence grow with each fish they land. It’s like passing on that same love my dad gave me.
